I'm writing about the tip regarding EQing out problem frequencies in which Alan boosts a frequency and sweeps until he pinpoints the exact spot and then notches it. That alone was worth the whole series for me. What a great tip. It really helps zoom in on the problem frequency. I've used this technique to great effect several times since seeing it. It's definitely faster and more accurate than sweeping a cut frequency and messing with real time analyzers, which is what I used to do.

Agreed!

I've heard it called "sweep and destroy" as well and find it extremely valuable anytime I'm trying to isolate an interesting or problem part of a track.
