The new ASSR Educational License got a major thumbs up from local educators at Keyfax NewMedia’s first annual Music Technology symposium Aug 15th at Keyfax’s new offices in Santa Cruz, CA.
The symposium itself drew representatives from the greater Bay Area from as far as Cogswell Polytechnic in Sunnyvale to MCAET down in Monterey. Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley were represented by its high schools, junior colleges and independent audio engineering and music production schools.
Alan Parsons’ Master Class Training Sessions touch down in their fifth country since the inaugural event in Argentina in 2011 with the announcement of a Level 2 MCTS at the prestigious Noble Street Studios located downtown in Canada’s music city, Toronto.

Strengthening ASSR’s ties with music and recording technology institutions, on Nov 5th & 6th 2011 students at the USC Thornton Popular Music Program in Los Angeles will get to work with Alan Parsons at the prestigious Village Studios in West LA.

Everything sold out for Alan Parsons’ flying visit to Bogota, Colombia, Sept 15/16 2011, including all copies of the ASSR DVD set. One final copy, held back for auction (proceeds going to sponsor Hermes Music Fundacion), went for more than half a million Colombian pesos, roughly twice the DVD set’s full list price.
The Alan Parsons Master Class Training Session, in conjunction with the Alan Parsons Live Project band fly south in September to Bogota, Colombia for a whistle stop concert and Level 1 MCTS at “IDARTES” INSTITUTO DISTRITAL DE LAS ARTES at the University Of Bogota.
